RESEARCH STUDIES IN THE WATER METER IN MOROCCO AND ITS ROLE IN THE EXPLORATION OF HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS

The Master Program titled: « Water in the Moroccan History », at Cadi Ayad University, deals with the role water plays in people’s social and economic lives. Accordingly, students have focused their research on everything that concerns Moroccan tribes in their relation with water… As a result, scholars were required to seek anything contributes in writing a history that maintains the social and economic life and organizes tribal communities without focusing only on political history… That has given rise to a special type of research in documents that concern water. This research has achieved its goal thanks to the students’ concerted efforts and teachers’ recommendations and instructions. Consequently, various important documents have been gathered in the field of historical research especially the areas which were under academic studies … Although some areas were geographically limited, but student were able to come up with more than 100 documents…The latter have enriched their academic research and contributed in a historical writing based on concrete references that have revealed precious information….In fact, relying only on books and monographs would not be able to achieve such historical and intellectual outcome…. For these reasons, we have shed light on the role those academic studies, in the Master Program of Water, plays in this applied and practical project….By means of illustrating its ideas in this scientific contribution, which has dealt with such documents, it has dealt with such documents, it has highlighted its structural and furthermore objective aspects and revealed the methods and techniques to get it and thus reveal clearly the effects and interactions between these documents and academic studies taking into account the importance of such documents from the social, intellectual and political sides. Also, taking into consideration the role that teachers play in orienting students to the importance of these documents as it contribute in writing history from a social and historical angle. The Innovative Idea It is worth focusing on these documents due to their significance… We need to recommend researchers who are interested in this field of study to check and gather documents as well as emphasizing the role of academic research in enriching the human knowledge in line with the conference‘s subject which is concerned with the practical procedures. Among the steps that may provide solutions to keep historical documents from getting lost are this kid of research that push students to dig into these historical documents. Students are required to seek such documents that exist in their areas because researchers who do not belong to these areas usually find it difficult to get these documents. This entails students to belong to various areas so that they can gather adequate data on these areas in order to create a historical outcome of different areas.
